Founders

Pinnacle Japan, Inc. is led by three professionals with more than 30 years of experience in the comprehensive real estate business in Japan and the United States (at the time of establishment of the Company in 2006). These professionals, who possess a wealth of experience in real estate development and asset and building management, joined to establish the Company to develop a new asset management services business for Japanese investors.

Toru Konishi
With more than 30 years of experience (at the time of establishment of the Company in 2006) as a leader in the overseas business division of a major Japanese home builder, he promoted his company’s overseas business and was instrumental in developing real estate investments for Japanese corporate and individual investors in the US. With the help of Messrs. Harrelson and Goodman, who are also profiled here, he founded a comprehensive real estate asset management services business and has experience providing asset management services for more than 30 apartment and office buildings and other income properties in the United States for Japanese investors (more than JPY 40 billion of assets under management, including more than 2,500 apartments and commercial buildings covering more than 100,000 sq meters of floor space). After retiring in 2004, he set up an independent business in the United States and offered management consulting for US real estate businesses.

Stan Harrelson
He became a partner in the Goodman Group (see below) in 1986. As president of Pinnacle Property Management Services (U.S. Pinnacle, which is the current Cushman & Wakefield Multifamily Asset Service Co. [Cushman MAS]) he developed the company into a top real estate management company for multifamily properties in terms of assets under management (according to National Multifamily Housing Council data for 2009 and 2010). In addition, due to his business accomplishments and his status in the industry, he has served on the Executive Board of the National Multi Housing Council and served as active member of the Institute of Real Estate Management, the National Association of Home Builders, the National Apartment Association, Building Owners and Managers Association and Urban Land Institute, among others.

Goodman He has a track record of more than 30 years in the real estate investment and development business (at the time of establishment of the Company in 2006), having founded the Goodman Financial Services Group in 1980, the forerunner of U.S. Pinnacle, Goodman Real Estate Investment Co. (currently, Goodman Real Estate), and Goodman Real Estate Development Co. (currently, Goodman Real Estate), and developed it into a pre-eminent player in the US (U.S. Pinnacle, currently Cushman MAS). With an entrepreneurial spirit grounded in his track record and a wealth of knowledge and experience, he currently maintains a portfolio of apartment, hotel, office, retail, and land developments and heads several companies, including an investment (and asset management) company holding real estate assets with a market value of more than JPY 300 billion.
